ERWIN JOACHIM

Erwin Joachim, 74, of Tina Avenue, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.

Mr. Joachim was born in Middlesex County, N.J., on Dec. 15, 1931, to the late Philip Joachim and Claire Moseowitz Joachim. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Sears, where he worked as an appliance repairman. He also worked for Landmark Appliances and was a member of the Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Joachim, and is survived by two sons, Michael Andrew Joachim of North Carolina and George Oliver Miller of Greenville; one sister, Alice Reniere of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service on Saturday.
