ALBERTSON -- Oscar Fredrick Hudson Jr., 57, of 330 Coy Smith Road, died Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ivey White officiating. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery
Mr. Hudson served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He later enlisted in the Navy and retired as a senior chief with 28 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Daniels Hudson of the home; one daughter, Amy Karen Medlin of Mount Olive; two stepdaughters, Kim Lane of Greenville and Elizabeth Howard of Deep Run; one son Matthew Hudson of Fort Mills, S.C.; his mother, Ernestine Hudson of Albertson; two sisters, Donna Rich of Albertson and Paula Parks of Mount Olive; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service this evening.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Relay for Life.
