JANIE NUNN
May 23, 1925-July 29, 2006
Janie Holland Nunn, 81, a Wayne County native, died Saturday morning at WakeMed in Raleigh.
She was the daughter of the late David and Bessie Owens Holland and was the widow of Carlyle Wilkins Nunn. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Smithfield.
The funeral was held today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, with the Rev. Beth Burton-Williams officiating. Burial was in Wayne Memorial Park near Goldsboro.
Mrs. Nunn is survived by one son, Carlyle Wilkins "Wilkie" Nunn of Davidson; one daughter, Nancy Lambert of Knightdale; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 10 until 11 today at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Nancy Lambert, 1002 Pagoda Place, Knightdale.
