Willie Forrest "Monk" Lewis, 72, of 633 E. Lenoir Ave., died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 801 E. Gordon St., Kinston, with the Rev. W.K. Rayner officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Garden.
He is survived by Hattie Bradshaw Lewis of the home; sons, Willie O'Keife Lewis of Kinston and Cepeda Dante Lewis of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Elizabeth B. Lewis of Goldsboro; brothers, Robert Lewis and the Rev. Edward E. Lewis, both of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be today from 3 until 8 p.m. at Albritt and Carraway Funeral Home, Kinston. The family will receive friends at the residence.
