STEPHEN CARTRETTE SR.

MOUNT OLIVE -- Stephen Emery Cartrette Sr., 62, died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Wayne County to the late Emery and Mattie Keen Cartrette. Mr. Cartrette was a member of Eureka Christian Church.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Fruller officiating.
He is survived by son, Stephen Cartrette Jr. of Winston-Salem; daughter, Judy Darlene Cartrette of Goldsboro; brother, James Cartrette of Fremont; sister, Densie McCamon of Charleston, S.C.; and grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan and Jordan Cartrette.
The family received friends Saturday following the memorial service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Lloyd Keen, 1968 Dobbersville Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory of Goldsboro is serving the family.
