Funeral services for Mr. Odell Thomas Sr. are scheduled for Wednesday at Branch Memorial Church, 500 S. Gulley St. The burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Bishop D.L. McIntyre will deliver the eulogy.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Willie Aaron and Linia Mae Thomas.
Mr. Thomas is survived by sons, Kuyodus Kornegay, Corey Jordan, Octavis McKinnon, Antonio Kornegay, Tamarcus Ellis, Tykell Kornegay and Tyrell Kornegay; daughters, Bridgette Smith, Gail Rivera (Rolanda), Cassandra Samuels (David) and Latoya Dunn Collier; brothers, Willie Lee Thomas (Vanessa) of Goldsboro, Al Thomas of Santa Monica, Calif., Aaron Thomas of Goldsboro and Eric Thomas of Goldsboro; sisters, Ann Coley of Raleigh, Sequalia Collins of Goldsboro, and Bernette West (Terry) of Goldsboro; fiance, Mavis Kornegay, of the home; and 12 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries and at other times at the home of Willie and Vanessa Thomas, 1103-A Olivia Lane.
