WARSAW -- The funeral for Mary Helen Barden, 58, of 524 Revell Road, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Fellowship Center in Mount Olive, where she was a member. Dr. Curtis Lee will officiate. Interment will be in the Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.
Mrs. Barden was born in Duplin County and was the daughter of Bernice Williams of Warsaw and the late John Philyaw.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Bryant of Warsaw; six sisters, Carolyn Faison and Mary L. Pearsall of Warsaw, Gloria Bass of Dudley, Sharon Caldwell of Turkey and Valeria Melvin and Katrina Philyaw of Goldsboro; two brothers, Larry Williams of Warsaw and Linwood Philyaw of Raleigh; and two grandchildren.
The viewing will be today from 4 until 7 at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw.
The family will assemble at the residence on Saturday to prepare for the funeral procession.
