FRANKLIN DARDEN

MOUNT OLIVE -- A memorial service for Ennis Franklin "Big Frank" Darden, 68, of North Point Drive, Apt. 300-B, will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Reverends Jerry Ezzell and Elbert Lilley will officiate.

Mr. Darden was born in Wayne County to the late McEnnis and Myrtie Brock Darden. He attended Tranters Creek Church of Christ and was retired from Calypso Plywood Company.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Darden; three sisters and their husbands, Jessie D. and Willie Peaden of Wilson, Maybell D. and Dennis Ezzell and Susan D. and John Potter, all of Warsaw; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Louis Darden of Faison, Daniel Leo and Rose Darden of Mount Olive and Gregory Phil Darden of Washington; four stepsons and their wives, Joey and Connie Keech, Whitford and Tammy Keech, and Rodney and Pam Keech of Washington, N.C, and David and Cathy Keech of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; stepdaughter and her husband, Gina and Ted Brown of Rock Hill, S.C.; and nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and special friends, Ray and Faye Howell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service.
