R. LINDSEY DAIL

Robert Lindsey Dail, 69, of 138 Louis Pugh Jones Road, Seven Springs, died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Otto Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

A Lenoir County native, he was the son of the late Giles S. and Margaret Davis Dail and the widower of Lucille Hardison Dail. He retired as a supervisor with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church. He was a Boy Scout Leader, past president of the Ruritan Club, past board member of the Deep Run Water Corp., and a recipient of the Neuse Area Development Beef-Cow-Calf Award.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Frankie Hardison of Florala, Ala.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Gary Cox of Goldsboro, Tammy and Michael Herring of Seven Springs, Julie Maxwell of Seven Springs, and JoAnn Noel of Hope Mills; one brother, Giles Dail Jr. of Tarboro; one nephew, Roger Dail; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Priscilla Dail and Margaret Dail.

The family will receive friends a the funeral home from 10 until 11 on Wednesday morning, and other times at the residence.
