Oliver Starkey, 42, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Starkey is survived by his wife, Marvia Edwards Starkey of Snow Hill; six brothers, Arthur Starkey, Woodrow Starkey, Ben Starkey, Edward Starkey, and LeVance Starkey of Kinston and Matthew Starkey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and five sisters, Virginia Starkey, Mae Taylor, Mary Hodges, Lydia Starkey and Gloria Taylor of Kinston.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 8 at S. Connor Funeral Home in Snow Hill.
