Vicky Wilson Best, 56, of 514 W. New Hope Road, died Tuesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating.
Mrs. Best was born in Wayne County to the late Thomas W. Wilson and Margie Crawford Wilson. She had worked in the cafeteria and as a school bus driver for Southern Wayne High School.
She is survived by her husband, George H. Best; her children, Wendy Smith, and her fiancé, Michael Rhodes; and Teasa Burdette of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Summer Smith and Hailey Wells; her brother, Brent Wilson and wife, Shirley, of Durham; the father of her children, Winston Smith of Goldsboro; her special friends, Linda Smith and Phil Combs of Goldsboro; and her K-9 friend, Molly.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
