Margaret Elizabeth Edwards Mobley English, 72, of 1617 Old Grantham Road, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held today at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Freddie Powell and the Rev. Paul Dunn officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. English was born on Jan. 29, 1934, to the late Charles Sidney Edwards and Mattie Elizabeth Wise Edwards. She was a member of Miracle Faith Temple in Kinston, where she served as assistant pastor and pianist for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin C. "Bill" English; two daughters, Sheila Mobley Custer and husband, Ricky, of Goldsboro and Penny Mobley Wiggs and husband, Steve, of Mount Olive; one son, Johnny Charles Mobley of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Gail Custer Pierce, Elizabeth Wiggs Battarro, Matthew Steven Wiggs and Sarah Lynn Custer; two great-grandchildren, Jazmin Elizabeth Bottarro and Codey Clayton Turnage; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Bruce Mobley; one daughter, Donna Delores Hobbs; and her sisters, Katherine Edwards Grady, Maude Edwards Taylor, Otha Edwards and Cornelius "C.W." Edwards.

The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Custer, 1613 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro.
