Tammy Diane Best Flowers, 34, of 1720 O'Berry Center Road, died early Saturday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Wayne County, she formerly attended Brogden Chapel Church and was a former member of Goldsboro Moose Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim Lane, Dallie D. and Minnie Best.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Ivey White officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

Ms. Flowers is survived by her mother, Diane Coker of the home; father, Dale Best and wife Jo Anne of Dudley; stepfather Logan Lane of Goldsboro; son Rusty Flowers of LaGrange; daughter Christy Pierce of Kinston; grandparents, Marie and Earl Jones of Albertson and Christine "Tiny" Lane; brothers, Dale Best Jr. and wife Lisa of Kinston, Ken Brown of Pikeville; sisters, Tina Hopper and husband Jeff of Goldsboro, Melissa Woodson and husband Chris of Mount Olive; nieces and nephews, Carlie Hopper and Alex Johnson of Goldsboro, Caitlin, Dustin, and Jadin best, all of Kinston, Samantha and Christopher Woodson, both of Mount Olive; special friends, David Denning and Aaron Denning.

Family members will greet friends Tuesday following the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 1720 O'Berry Center Road.

In addition to flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Christy Pierce and Rusty Flowers Memorial Fund, c/o Branch Bank and Trust, 1326 W. Grantham Street, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
