Evelyn Howell Tew Sybeldon, 88, of 804 Pittman Street, died Thursday at Britthaven.
Mrs. Sybeldon was born in Wayne County to the late Marshall Howell and Mary Womble Howell. She had worked in childcare with Daniels Nursery. Mrs. Sybeldon was a member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. Rev. Gary Bailey will officiate.
Mrs. Sybeldon is survived by her husband, Anthony Sybeldon; her son, John Tew and his wife, Verla C. Tew of Goldsboro; her daughter, Geraldine Tew Schumacher and her husband, Jimmy Schumacher of Charlotte; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
