GREENVILLE--Henry Carl Hinnant, 70, died Saturday at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Eureka Cemetery in Eureka.
Henry was a Veteran of the United States Army and owned and operated Pikeville Tire and Gas in Pikeville for many years.
Henry was preceded in death by his son, Carl Walter Hinnant; and his brother, J.C. Hinnant.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joyce Massengill Hinnant; daughters, Shirley H. Hopkins and husband John of Scotland Neck and Cheryl A. Levesque and husband Shawn of Simpsonville, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Ellen S. Hinnant of Tylertown, M.S.; brothers, Bill Hinnant and wife Shirley of Raleigh and Harvey Hinnant and wife Sue of Titusville, Fla.; and grandchildren, Jesse Carl Hinnant, Chase Adrian Hinnant, Robert "Rob" Felton Jones, IV, Shawn Thomas Crownover, Amber Nicole Simmons, and Jonathan Eugene Simmons.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
