Elnora Williams LeGrone, 66, of 721 Langston Terrace, N.E. Washington, D.C., died Sunday at Howard University Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at noon at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro. The Rev. Timothy Dortch will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mrs. LeGrone was a native of Goldsboro, the eleventh child born to the late Dallas and Effie J. Williams. She attended Central High School in Wayne County and Dillard High School in Goldsboro, and then moved to Great Neck, N.Y., where she met her husband, the late Johnny Lewis LeGrone. They moved to Washington, D.C., in 1966 and she joined Peace Baptist Church in Northwest Washington and began a career in nursing, She retired in 2002.
She is survived by one son Anthony Lewis LeGrone, of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Leona Cox of Goldsboro; one brother, Mark Williams of District Heights, Md., and a number of nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., one hour prior to service at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro.
