MOUNT OLIVE--Mr. William Earl Grady, 69, of 262 Mills Loop Road, died Friday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Grady was born in Wayne County and was the son of Estelle Holloman Grady of Goldsboro and the late William Harvey Grady. He was a retired farmer in the Grantham Community and also retired from the North Carolina Forestry Service. Mr. Grady was a member of Rhodes Friends Meeting where he loved singing in the choir. He loved to listen to gospel music, catching fish and especially eating them. Mr. Grady got great pleasure from talking on the phone, tinkering on old cars and going to old car shows. He enjoyed working in his garden and growing fresh vegetables.

Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gordon Clarke officiating. Burial will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Evelyn Smith Grady; his sons, Danny Grady and friend, Cindy, of Grantham; Gary Grady and wife, Cindy, of Grantham; and David Grady of Grantham; his brothers, Delton C. Grady and wife, Ann, of Grantham; and Harold Grady and wife, Kay, of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Melinda, Austin, Dean, Amanda, Shawn, Ashley and Kevin; and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Rhodes Friends Meeting, 2157 O'Berry Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.

The family will receive friends today following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence.
