ORA STRICKLAND

The funeral for Ora Mae Powell Strickland, 94, of Warrenton, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mill Creek Christian Church in Four Oaks. The Rev. Jack Anglin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Strickland was a former resident of Bentonville and was the widow of John Thomas Strickland.
She was preceded in death by a son, Luby Arthur Strickland, and a daughter, Doris Magdalene Strickland.
Her survivors include two sons, J.D. Strickland of Garner and Jennings Strickland of Smithfield; five daughters, Dorothy Miller of Four Oaks, Evelyn Ostendorf of Warrenton, Linda Strickland of Raleigh, Peggy Burton of Slidell, La., and Loree Harris of Warrenton; daughter-in-law, Lynn Strickland of Raleigh; sister, Flossie Allen of Four Oaks; and 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove, and other times at Dorothy Miller's residence at 1113 Strickland Crossroads Road, Four Oaks.
