DOROTHY SHUMAN

PRINCETON -- The funeral for Dorothy Smith Shuman, 80, of 104 Azalea Drive, will be held tonight at 7 at Grace Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron Hawley will officiate. Burial will be on Friday morning at 10 in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Shuman died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Shuman of Princeton; her daughter and son-in-law, Melba Jean and Wayne Starling of Princeton; a sister-in-law, Annie Mae Hollingsworth of Griffin, Ga.; and a grandson, Joshua Starling of Princeton.
The family will receive friends at the church this evening beginning at 6 p.m. and again immediately following the funeral.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Grace Baptist Church or to the Laura Lee Starling Memorial Scholarship fund, NC State Box 7607, Raleigh, N.C., 27695.
Casey Funeral Home in Princeton is serving the family.
