LAGRANGE -- The funeral for James Howard Wilson, 89, will be held Saturday morning at 11 at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Jerry Mitchell will conduct the service.
Mr. Wilson died Tuesday in Dresden, Tenn. A retired farmer, he was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Reelfoot Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Vira Howard Wilson; his wife, Gertrude Malpass Wilson; and a stepson, Milton Jackson.
His survivors include a stepson, John Jackson of Union City, Tenn.; three stepdaughters, Norma Nelson of Yuma, Ariz., Carol Hornyak of North Shores, Mich., and Shirley McIlwraith of Victoria, British Columbia; a half sister, Marie Burt of Spring Lake, Mich.; a half brother, Billy Kerley of Savannah, Ga.; and 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
