Samuel Lee Bell Sr., of Durham, formerly of the Parkstown community, died Monday.
The funeral will be held Friday at noon at Northeast Baptist Church in Durham.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife, Debra Bell, and a daughter, Lydia, of the home; three sons, Marshall Bell of Burlington, Samuel Bell Jr. of LaGrange and Johnathan Bell of Modesto, Calif., three sisters, Annie R. Coley and Vanessa Benton of Goldsboro and Jewel Williams of LaGrange; five brothers, Jerl Bell and Gregory Buckrham of Goldsboro, William Buckrham and Alexander Bell of LaGrange and Calvin Bell of Winston-Salem; and several grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
The viewing will be at the church prior to the service on Friday.
Burthey Funeral Home in Durham is serving the family.
