KAPOLA POWELL

Kapola Pittman Powell, 77, of 106 Hunters Place, died Wednesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Dr. Richard Eleby and Minister Jack Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Kent Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Panama City, Fla.

Mrs. Powell was a native of Campbellton, Fla.. She retired as a teacher in the Florida State School System and was a member of Community Church of Christ.

She was the daughter of the late Willie and Luberder Barkley Pittman.

Her survivors include one son, Wayne Reeves of Goldsboro; one brother, B.J. Pittman of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Lillian Pittman Baker of Marianna, Fla., and Willie Mae Donaldson of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kantrell Reeves of Huntsville, Ala., and Jasmine Reeves of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Friday evening.
