Ricky Neal Kornegay, 44, of 1333 Beautancus Road, died early Easter Sunday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmie Swinson and the Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Devotional Gardens, Warsaw.

Mr. Kornegay was previously employed with Mount Olive Sportswear Inc. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his father, Perry D. Kornegay of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry Lee and Anita Kornegay and Ronnie Dean and Barbara Kornegay of Mount Olive; one nephew, Chris Kornegay of Mount Olive; two nieces, Carmen Kornegay Oates and husband, Brian, of Mount Olive, and Tonya Bennett Ginnevan and husband, Greg, of Goldsboro; a great-niece, Olivia Oates; and two great-nephews, Garrett Ginnevan and Austin Kornegay.

His mother, Curvie Arnette Kornegay, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home at the conclusion of the service on Tuesday night; and other times at his father's residence in the Beautancus community.
