Funeral to be held Tuesday

LAGRANGE -- Rev. Laura Bell Gardner, 89, of 201 Joyner Street, LaGrange died Thursday at her home.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Delight United Holy Church, Parkstown. Bishop Leamon Dudley, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons: District Elder Quincy Gardner, Mr. James Gardner both of LaGrange, and Mr. Thomas Water of Goldsboro; five daughters: Annie Lewis, Mildred Lewis, Elder Sally Hutchins all of LaGrange, Elder Lucy Dudley and Laura Lewis both of Goldsboro; one brother: Mr. Willie Bell, Durham; two sisters: Martha Savage, Maryland and Elder Lillie Johnson, Goldsboro; 19 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Monday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro, and the family will be present to receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
