JESSIE HARRISON GODBOLD

February 24, 1922-April 14, 2006

Jessie Harrison Godbold Warsaw, 84, died Friday evening at her daughter's home surrounded by her family and friends.

Jessie was born February 24, 1922 in Duplin Country. She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church in Warsaw. She worked as a LPN at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro for 17 years.

Mrs. Godbold is predeceased by her husband, John David Godbold; sister, Charlotte Sparrow and husband Eric of Deep Run; brothers Steve Harrison and wife, Dorothy of Florida, James D. Harrison of Duplin County and brother-in-law Nelson Outlaw of Warsaw.

She is survived by her son, John David Godbold, Jr. and wife Debbie Godbold of Wilmington; her daughter Delores G. Hamilton and husband Ricky Hamilton of Riegelwood; four grandchildren, Bradley Raynor and wife Sherri Raynor, Angela Malpass and her husband Roger Malpass of Delco, Kevin Godbold and Wesley Godbold of Wilmington; two sisters, Ruby Blackburn and husband R.T. Blackburn and Annie Marie Outlaw both of Warsaw; two brothers, Delo Harrison, and wife Mildred of Baltimore, Md. and Hoover Harrison and wife, Kathy of Astoria, Ore.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.

Visitation will be Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw with Pastor Arnold Griffin of Wilmington presiding. Burial will follow in the Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.
