Hazel Ham Woodard, 84, widow of James H. Woodard, died in Richmond, Va., on Saturday

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Curtiss Tatum and the Rev. Norman Ard officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Woodard was born in Wayne County to the late Jack H. Ham and Hattie Allen Ham. She graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1938 and retired from Branch Bank and Trust Company in Goldsboro in 1983.

Her survivors include two daughters, Faye W. Tatum, and her husband, Edward, of Goldsboro and Ann W. Ainsley and husband, Wayne, of Waynesboro, Va.; her grandchildren, Sarah A. Huffman and husband, Jeff, of Mechanicsville, Va.; Julie A. Major and husband, Josh, of Waynesboro, Va.; James Tatum and wife, Shyla, of Columbia, Md., and Angela Tatum of Goldsboro; great-grandsons, Dylan, Ben and Jake Huffman; one brother, E. Philmon Ham of Goldsboro; one sister, Hattie Tulloch of Pine Bluff; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Oscar Ham, Eshcol Ham, Marvin Ham, and Milton Ham; and one sister, Rachel Frazier.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of Faye and Ed Tatum, 205 S. Cottonwood Drive, Goldsboro.
