Bertha Wooten Davenport, 80, of 831 Lindell Road, Stantonsburg, died Monday at the Brian Center in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Fred Crank officiating. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Daughtry, Russ Daughtry, Chad Davenport, Dexter Davenport, Caine Davenport and Charles Tyson.

Mrs. Davenport was born in Greene County to the late William Wooten and Lucy Johnson Wooten. She served with her husband, the late Rev. Frank Davenport, at several churches in North Carolina and Kentucky over a period of 45 years.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Davenport, and his wife, Judy, of Pikeville; and Wayne Davenport and wife, Barbara, of Wilmington; her daughter-in-law, Greta Davenport of Goldsboro; her sisters, Velma Tyson and Martha Wooten, both of Farmville; her grandchildren, Chad and Cindy Davenport of Goldsboro; Bryan and DeeDee Daughtry of Smithfield; Dexter and Cameron Davenport of Wilmington; Caine Davenport of Wilmington; and Stephanie Davenport of Goldsboro; her great-grandchildren, Conner Davenport, Russ Daughtry, Owen Daughtry, Michael Daughtry, Drew Davenport, Carter Davenport, Sydney Davenport, Luke Davenport, and Judson Davenport.

Another son, Steve Davenport, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service on Thursday night, and other times at the home of Donald Davenport, 117 Joy Avenue, Pikeville.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to the Davenport Education Center at Faith Christian Academy, 1200 W. Grantham St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
