CECIL OWENS

WILSON -- Cecil Owens, 80, brother of Kinchen Owens of LaGrange, died Monday.
Other survivors include one daughter, Gatsy Eason of Rocky Mount; two sons, Stewart Owens of Pinetops and William Owens of Dunn; four sisters, Louise O. Gardner of Fountain, Alice O. Latta of Yorktown, Va., Ann O. Webb of Elm City and Rachel O. Glenn of Chapel Hill; three other brothers, Linwood Owens of Suffolk, Va., Bobby Owens of Newport News, Va., and Thurman Owens of Yorktown, Va.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
The family received friends on Wednesday night at Joyner's Funeral Home.
