Chester Benjamin White-hurst, 81, of 1114 Fourth Street, died Tuesday at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation in Mount Olive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry House officiating. Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Ceme-tery.
Mr. Whitehurst is survived by his wife, Irene Jones Whitehurst; his children, Patricia Watts of Goldsboro; Edna Jones of Clayton; Janice Parnell of Kenly; Melinda Jackson of Texas; and Carolyn Yelverton of Kenly; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
