JOELLA RIMBERG

Joella Richardson Rimberg, 77, of Robert Peel Avenue, Pikeville, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. The Rev. Martin Armstrong will officiate.

Mrs. Rimberg was born in Wayne County to the late Joseph Kyle Richardson and Christine Holler Richardson. She received her Master's degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and retired from the State of North Carolina as a social worker supervisor with Southeastern Regional Mental Health Center.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Rimberg and wife, Susanne, of Fremont and Alex Rimberg and wife, Anne Day, of Norwich, Vt.; one daughter, Janet Berridge and husband, Jim, of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mary Love Mason of Fremont; and seven grandchildren, Kristin, James, Kyle, Wilson, and Jacob Rimberg, and Megan and Madison Lancaster.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross, 600 North George Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont is serving the family.
