MILDRED H. SMITH
Died Feb. 28, 2006
BENTONVILLE -- The funeral for Mildred H. Smith was held today at 11 a.m. at Mill Creek Christian Church in Four Oaks. The Rev. Jack Anglin and Chaplain James Weaver officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Tuesday.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Edison Williford of Newton Grove, Shirley and Glenn Langston of Four Oaks and Brenda Smith Garza of Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Betty Jo Smith of Newton Grove; two sisters, Alice Britt of Four Oaks and Leuria Settlemeyer of Four Oaks; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Norwood Smith; a brother, Robert Odell Holmes, and her parents, Henry Clay and Pennie Holmes.
The family received friends at West & Dunn Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. and other times at the home of Carolyn and Edison Williford at 415 Raleigh St., Newton Grove.
