EDWARD C. BROWN

FREMONT -- Edward C. Brown, 77, died Monday at his home.
A graveside service will be held today at 4 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville.
Mr. Brown was born in Wayne County and was the son of the late Lummie Brown and Addie Davis Brown.
He is survived by six daughters, Jennette Robbins of Richmond, Va., Susan Danielson, Sandra Hooks, Cynthia Danielson, Gloria Vinson and Bertha Apple of Wilson; three brothers, Paul Brown of Fremont, Linwood Brown of Wilson and Gerald Brown of Goldsboro; one sister, Shirley Fields of Lucama; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service today.
The family is being served by Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home.
