MAXINE W. FLANAGAN

PIKEVILLE -- Maxine Walton Flanagan, 74, died Monday at her home.

The funeral services will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church. The Rev. Aubrey Jones will officiate. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

A Sampson County native, Mrs. Flanagan was the daughter of the late Raymond Walton and Jane Cain Walton and the widow of Marion Flanagan. She had worked with the daycare at Pineview Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Bobby R. Flanagan, and his wife, Judy, of Pikeville; two daughters, Lisa F. Bedford, and her husband, Kenneth, of Pikeville and Jane Carter of Pikeville; one brother, Dewey Walton of Moss Hill; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Flanagan, and a brother, Morris Walton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church and other times at the home of Lisa and Kenneth Bedford, 105 Grand Street, Pikeville.

Seymour Funeral Home is serving the family.
