Isabelle Chesnutt Gwaltney, 92, died Tuesday at her home.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Steve Briggs and Elder Norman Collins presiding. Interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gwaltney was born in Sampson County to the late John Nick Chesnutt and Janie Bell Carroll Chesnutt and was a graduate of Turkey High School. She was married to the late Melvin Lee Gwaltney and was a homemaker She enjoyed growing vegetables in her bountiful garden and for many years she cracked pecans in her home. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Faye Robinson, and husband, Clayton, of Raleigh; Sara Ann Sasser and husband, Jack, of Goldsboro; and Anna Radford and husband, Lynn, of Nahunta; one son, Jarvis Lee Gwaltney and wife, Joyce, of Goldsboro; one sister, Lila Honeycutt of Clinton; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Darlene Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Dallas Ray Minshew and Blair Long.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
