BLANCHE McCANDLESS

Mrs. Blanche Crocker McCandless, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday at the Brian Center.

Mrs. McCandless was born in Wayne County on June 21, 1918 to the late Berry Crocker and Addie Jernigan Crocker. She was married to the late Johnnie Franklin McCandless. Mrs. McCandless graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1937 and was a member of Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church.

The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James McCandless officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Radford Cemetery in Nahunta.

Mrs. McCandless is survived by her daughters, Ann Bishop and husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro; Gail Radford and husband, Ed, of Pikeville; Karen Odom and husband, Royce, of Goldsboro; Hazel Overman and husband, Edward, of Lucama; Lou McCandless of Goldsboro; and Janice McCandless of Goldsboro; her brother, Gerald Crocker of Charlotte; her sister, Betty Church of Jacksonville; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carlton Crocker, Jim Crocker and Howard Crocker.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service on Friday night, and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Radford, 3472 Nahunta Road, Pikeville.
