SNOW HILL -- The funeral for Selma Blizzard Epps, 61, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service. The Rev. Alan Joyner and Dr. Gene Martin will officiate. Interment will be in Snow Hill Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

A native of native of Wilson County the daughter of the late, Charlie Simpson and Ruth Mae Cole Blizzard. She was an avid homemaker and gardener. Mrs. Epps attended the First Baptist Church of Snow Hill.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006, in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Reverend Alan Joyner and Dr. Gene Martin officiating. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Epps was preceded in death by her husband, E.T. Epps and a son, Johnny D. Epps.

Her surviving family includes her daughters, Dianne Mingin and husband, Bill of Pinehurst, Debra Joyner and husband, Ronnie of Angier, Lynn Dixon and friend, Russell Taylor of Snow Hill; sons, Henry Epps and wife, Camilla of Snow Hill, David Epps and wife, Yvette of Pikeville; brothers, Jimmy Blizzard, and Jack Blizzard, both of Snow Hill, William Blizzard and Chester Blizzard, both of Black Creek; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 882 Fourway Road, Snow Hill.
