DONIE SUMMERLIN

KINSTON -- Donie K. Summerlin, 89, died Sunday.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Molly Kornegay and the widow of Albert Summerlin.
Her survivors include one son, David Summerlin and wife, Carolyn, of Kinston; seven grandchildren, Sheila S. Waters, Crystal S. Stafford, Bobby Williams, Timmy Williams, Kenneth Williams, James Williams and Christopher Williams; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Lou S. Wiggins; a brother, Leslie Kornegay; and three sisters, Carrie Summerlin, Letha Carter and Bertha Miller.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Burial will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Tuesday night, and other times at the home of David and Carolyn Summerlin, 642 Lonesome Pine Drive, Kinston.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
