WHITE LAKE -- Peggy Littleton McQuie, 75, formerly of Goldsboro, died Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She was born in Duplin County to the late O.L. and Lottie Tripp Littleton, and was married to the late Henry W. McQuie. A former member of Rosewood Baptist Church, she was currently a member of White Lake Baptist Church. Mrs. McQuie was the manager of a Gift Shop & Motel at White Lake from 1989 until 2003. She was formerly the manager of the Downtowner Motor Inn of Goldsboro from 1965 to 1978.

A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walter Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Willowdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 2 until 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of Debbie & Skeet Talton, 448 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Pikeville.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie F. and husband, Skeet Talton of Pikeville and Sandy Finchum and husband, Billy of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Todd Talton and girlfriend, Terrie of Pikeville, Ted and Brandy Talton of Goldsboro, Allen Finchum and family, and Brian Finchum and family; two great-grandchildren, Reagan Talton and Mackenzie Baker; and special friends, Randy, Barbara, & Martin Netherton of Dudley.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
