JAMES T. FORTNER

James Thomas "Tiny" Fortner, 44, of Mount Olive, died unexpectedly on Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Fortner was born in Wayne County and was the son of Anna Wadsworth Nasekos and the late Willie James Fortner.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Donna F. Edmundson, and her husband, Jimmie, of Goldsboro; three brothers and their wives, Ronnie Lee and Wanda Fortner of Pikeville, Donald Ray and Sherri Fortner of Pikeville and Bobby and Jean Nasekos of Rock Hill, SC; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Fred Watson.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. James Gurkins officiating.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street, NW, Suite 710, Washington, DC 20036.

The family will receive friends at the home of Anna W. Nasekos, 1459 Hwy. 111 North (Patetown Road).
