DR. BEECHER SITTERSON

COLUMBUS, N.C. --Dr.. Beecher Ward Sitterson died Sunday.

The youngest child of the late Cephus Bryan Sitterson and Lillie Ward Sitterson, he attended school in Kenansville and graduated from Davidson College, the University of North Carolina and Harvard medical schools. He practiced medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, LaCross, Wisc., Cincinnati, Ohio, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Boston, Mass.

His survivors include two sons, David of Vancouver, Wash., and Jim of Boston, and two granddaughters, Elaine Roschke Sitterson and Mary Alexandra Ford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Murphy Sitterson; three brothers, Roy and Jack of Kenansville and C.B. of Appleton, Wisc.; and one sister, Kathryn Peele of Williamston.

A graveside service will be held for Dr. Sitterson on Friday at 11 a.m. at Golden Grove Cemetery in Kenansville.

Community Funeral Home in Warsaw is in charge of the arrangements.
