SNOW HILL -- Doris Hart Moore, 85, died Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with the Rev. Alvin Keener and the Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. The committal service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 at Harrell's Chapel Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore was a native of Greene County and was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Mary Gay Hart. She was a member of Harrell's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and its choir, Ladies Auxiliary and Golden Circle. Mrs. Moore had retired from the N.C. School for the Deaf in Wilson.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Eugene Moore and Edward Royce Moore; a grandchild, James Alan Suggs and great-grandchild, Matthew Daniel Sugg; and her siblings, Virgil Hart, Raymond Hart Jr., Cleo Cress and Edna Frazier.

Her surviving family includes her daughters, Imelda Suggs and husband, James "Pee Wee" of LaGrange, Lou Ellen Barrow and husband, Wade of Snow Hill, and Joyce Keel of Snow Hill; sisters, Celia H. Wade and Valeria Head Smith both of Snow Hill and Lucy H. Hill of Hookerton; brothers, Buren Hart of Kinston, Wayne Hart of FL, and Dewey Hart of Hookerton; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Tuesday, and other times at the home of Wade and Lou Ellen Barrow, 774 Shine Road, Snow Hill.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Harrell's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Lin Radford, 210 Lakeside Drive, Snow Hill, NC 28580.
