KINSTON -- Barbara Jean Mason, 61, mother of Olanda Mason of Goldsboro, died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
The funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Mills Funeral Home. Elder Arthur Loftin Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mills Memorial Garden.
In addition to her son, she is survived by three daughters, Alfreda Cogdell of Snow Hill, Windi Mason of Hookerton and Sandra Heath of Rochester, N.Y.; another son, Randy Mason of Hugo; four sisters, Maurby Maye, Francis Mason and Betty Brown of Grifton and Lois Akinston of Baltimore; three brothers, Johnnie Edwards of Kinston, Robert Mason of Frederickburg, Va., and Lester Mason of Snow Hill; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 3 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at 276 Shady Grove Church Road, Snow Hill.
