NEWTON GROVE -- Larry B. Powell, 62, of 940 Cannon Road, died Tuesday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Mary Hamilton Powell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Rhonda Powell of Mount Olive and Richard and Traci Powell of Clayton; his mother, Esther Powell Thornton of Four Oaks; three sisters, Linda Sessoms and Cathy Lee of Salisbury and Barbara Bryant of Goldsboro; two brothers, Everette Thornton and Dennis Thornton of Newton Grove; one brother-in-law, Michael Hamilton and his wife, Shelby, of Gastonia; four grandchildren, Micayla Powell, Daniel Powell, Tyler Powell and Meaghan Powell.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 until 8 at West & Dunn Funeral Home.
