Died Jan. 3, 2006

The funeral for Marshall Ray Daw, 61, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Forehand will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Daw died Tuesday at his home at 664 Idalia Road in Aurora.

He was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late Charles Bernard and Ruby Joyner Daw. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kinston.

Surviving are three daughters, Sonya Daw and Samantha King of Kinston and Lisa Daw of Goldsboro; four brothers, Tim Daw and Charles Daw of Kinston, Ted Daw of Tennessee and David Daw of Goldsboro; one sister, Yvonne Lasley of Virginia; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and will be at Alton's Barbecue at 259 Combs Road from 1 until 7 p.m. today and from 1 until 6 p.m. on Friday.
