Sandra Millard Gower, 62, of Garner, died Friday morning at her home.
The funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Montlawn Memorial Park.
A native of Sampson County, Mrs. Gower was retired from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles after 30 years service. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts and flower gardening and loved walking along the beach in search of seashells.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Gower; son, Sean Webb of Raleigh; sisters, Jacquelyn Tillman of Hoffman, Marguerite Hall of Benson and Donnice Smith of Raleigh; and her brother, Joey Jones of Benson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this afternoon from 2 until 3, prior to the service.
