LELAND -- Archie "Frank" Ragavage Jr., 37, died Sunday from injuries received in an automobile accident.

A native of Cumberland County, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leland and was the owner of Naked Concrete Company. He was a professional firefighter for 15 years serving with Wilmington, Fuquay-Varina and Kinston fire departments. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Davis Ragavage; four children, Michael, Shane, Hawkins, and Maverick Doane; his mother, Margaret Jarman; three brothers, Terry McVicker, Wayne "JT" McVicker, and Donald Ragavage, and one sister, Melissa Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Frank Ragavage Sr.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Leland. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, in Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a special fund for his children
