Brenda Bynum Blount, 49, formerly of Goldsboro, died Dec. 14 at Queens Health Center in New York.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. William Sessions will officiate. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Blount, of Queens, N.Y.; one daughter, Shimir Blount of Raleigh; five sons, Angelo Blount, Kamardy Blount and Komara Blount, all of Raleigh, Satorry Blount of Rochester, N.Y., and Shimon Blount of Queens, N.Y.; two sisters, Wilma Greene of Goldsboro and Joyce Bryant of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Wilbert Bynum Jr. of Goldsboro and Robert Lee Faison of Mount Olive.
A viewing will be held Monday from 1 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m. At other times, the family will be at 817 Franklin Street, Goldsboro.
