Jessie H. Jones

Jessie Huntsinger Jones, 83, of 212 Forrest Circle, Goldsboro, N.C. (formerly of Leicester, N.C.) went home to be with her Lord on November 30, 2005, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Asheville, N.C., where she was active until poor health required a move to Goldsboro to be near family.

She was born June 3, 1922, to the late Lawrence and Hattie Rice Huntsinger. Jessie married the love of her life, John Paul Jones February 9, 1942, and shared 63 wonderful years. To this union was born two daughters and one son: Linda Clark; Joyce Sizemore and husband, Mike; and Roger Jones, all of Goldsboro. She is survived by six grandchildren, Jeff Laster and wife Sandy of Pikeville, Stephen Sizemore and wife Connie of Hayesville, Bryan Sizemore and wife Jennifer of Fairview, Heather Brown and husband David of Selma, Scott Jones and Michelle Jones, both of Fairview; seven great grandchildren, Randy and Robby Laster; Colby, Sarah and Lacee Sizemore; Ashley Osborn; and Courtney Sizmore; two brothers, Edward Huntsinger and wife Margaret of Leicester, Carl Huntsinger and wife, Janice of Black Mountain, N.C.; brother-in-law, Mont Jones. and sister-in-law, Fina Whitener, both of Leicester; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Dena Becker.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Huntsinger, Vauldie Huntsinger Jones Kalbaugh and Carrie Huntsinger Sands; and one step-brother, Earl Taylor.

Mrs. Jones will lie in state at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro, N.C., on Friday, December 2nd. The family will receive friends at the home on 212 Forrest Circle, Goldsboro, N.C., from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd.

Funeral services will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 985 1/2 Patton Ave., Asheville, N.C., on Sunday, December 4th at 2 p.m. The family will received friends immediately following the service. Interment will be at Bell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Leicester, N.C.
