Victoria McDowell, 69, of 406 Pineview Ave., died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Dudley. The Reverend Antonia Lawrence will officiate.

Mrs. McDowell was born in Wayne County to the late Frank McDowell and Liddie Holloway McDowell. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and was also a member of the Political Awareness (PAC) and Zeta Phi Beta Incorporated.

She is survived by one brother, Rossevelt Rowe of Goldsboro; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Hatten of the Best Station Community, Anna Frank Dixon of Norfolk, Va., and Mildred Hunter of Birmingham, Ala.; and a host of nieces, nephews, four aunts and two uncles.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Saturday.
