GLADYS STEPHENS

Gladys Liles Stephens died Monday at her home in Raleigh.
A native of Goldsboro, she was the daughter of the late O.C. and Hortense Liles and the widow of Howard W. Stephens.
She is survived by sons and daughters, Howard Stephens Jr. of Columbia, S.C., Sandra Stephens and David Stephens of Raleigh, Jeff Stephens of Hillsborough and Jane Ragan of Cary; three sisters, Meredith Liles, Hilda Strider, and Hortense Rouse of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec. 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh. The Reverend Dr. Ed McLeod will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.
